friends are really relevant in life. you need friends to live a joyful life. although in my life i did not make that many friends because i am very picky when it comes to choosing friends. i choose friends based on what their interests are, their goals, their hobbies and most importantly their ability to help others. but i have a friend now who i think is a great friend to ask for. he is VERY VERY helpful to me and he is very caring and honest when it comes to my passion which is "drawing". His name is Shea Zubair. i started loving drawing when i was 14 years old. i dont know somehow i started to look at things differently. i started to look at things as if i can turn it into a drawing in my scrapbook. i think it started when i had build a passion for drawing dinosaurs and wrestlers. yes thats right. i used to draw wrestlers from wrestling in different poses and same thing went with dinosaurs from Dino books. i told Shea that i love drawing and how can i begin. he told me about Deviant Art website and told me to start posting my drawings there. my god what a website deviantart is. its godlike haha. as i started to post pictures on deviant, Shea saw that i had the potential to be a good artist. so he lend me a hand. he helped me with my drawings. and god as my witness what a help he did. He colored my drawings using photoshop and computer tablet. boy oh boy when i had let him color my first picture i told myself that "if there is anyone who should help me it has to be Shea". from then Shea has become my mentor, my guru in drawing. i was amazed by the amount of detail in color he has done in my drawing. i was like "this guy is fucking insane boy". my first picture was on Superman. sometimes i went to his house and he would sit there two or three hours just coloring my picture that i had done. he told me that "always use sharpie point pen to darken the outside lines and erase the pencil lines inside and outside". i was amazed by that technique. i was like wow, that is a great process in drawing. since then Shea had colored 6 of my pictures. i have never met someone who cares for someone else's passion that much. he told me " i will help you master your craft". that sentence brought tears to my eyes from joy. no one has ever helped me that much. people are always selfish and cares about themselves. they have a mentality like "why should i help you? what do i get from it?" but no not Shea. he cared about making me a good artist. you see he cared. thats what is important. in this world it seems that people lost caring for others. we have become cruel. recently i have learned so many techniques from him like drawing shapes for character figures, drawing stick figures for proportions, drawing limbs such as hands, feet, arms, etc. he told me about how you can make a character look strong by emphasizing sharp lines on their arms. shading in when it comes to portraits so you dont see lines. and practice photoshop using mouse. I am greatful to him for helping me out. if it was not for him then i would not have a chance to start drawing from clean slate. he has given me the tools ,knowledge and resources about art. i saw his dedication for drawing when he sat there two or three hours coloring, erasing, shading, contrasting, my pictures that i wanted to be colored. i even at times felt sad for him that he is sitting there all these hours coloring my pictures. such a dedicated and good person he is. my god i cant believe he did that for me. i really cant. i nicknamed him "superman". he is a superman in drawing. i am thankful that i had a great artist to help me and teach me about art. so if there is one great friend that i have, it is SHEA ZUBAIR the superman.
